Tina Treats

Tina is the lady that cleans my mom's house. She recently blessed my family with this yummy recipe. And that's why these meaty muffins are affectionately known as Tina Treats. Make them for an easy dinner, and if there are any leftover, enjoy them warmed in the microwave for breakfast. We've had these every morning this week :)

8 pack canned biscuits {large, homestyle is the kind I used}
1 tube Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage
1 can rotel
8 oz cream cheese
cheddar cheese

Brown sausage on stove, then drain. Next add can of rotel tomatoes {drained}, then cream cheese. Cut biscuit dough in half and place in a greased muffin tin. Then add several spoonfuls of the sausage mixture on top of the biscuits. Top with cheddar cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 12 minutes.

My friend, Emily, recently made a similar recipe with ground beef and barbecue sauce minus the cream cheese.

  4. Holy moly, do these sound good or what?! Yum, yum, yum. This brought me back to my growing up years. My parents used to make "spaghetti biscuits" out of canned biscuits, ground beef, cheese, and spaghetti sauce. We also had taco biscuits and chili biscuits...same idea, just vary the sauce and toppings.

    Thanks for adding a new one to my list!
