Doc's Peaches and Cream

My daddy is an excellent cook.
He knows how to make good food great and great food fantastic!
His peaches and cream will definitely go down as summer 2011's signature dessert.

It's simple, decadent, and sweet.

Buy some great peaches, preferably from a road side stand.

Cut them up.

Throw on some brown sugar. Any amount you like.
Mix thoroughly.

Heat on the griddle or a cast iron skillet on the stove. Heck, it would probably be pretty good to heat them up in the microwave.

Serve over vanilla ice cream.
And slap yo' mama.

Love the simplicity of this dish and that it is something to do with fresh produce that doesn't require the oven or a lot of time. Lovely! I'm going to follow you so I can see more yummy things like this :)

  5. oh yum, our peaches are just starting to come in. I like to grill them. and grilled pineapple is great too - got that from Martha Stewart. I think there's sugar involved, but most definitely vanilla ice cream, as you said.
