Creamy Balsamic Dressing

Not long ago I saw THIS recipe for creamy balsamic dressing on Pinterest. It confirmed my belief that homemade salad dressing is the way to go. It's trouble. It's work. But work that in most cases and definitley in this case is well worth the effort. We had this salad for dinner last night and then leftover for lunch today. It's a winner!

Adapted from My Life as Mrs.
Creamy Balsamic Dressing:
(makes 1 2/3 cups)

4 cloves garlic (I used jarred)
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
3/4 cup extra light olive oil

Mix all ingredients in a mason jar. Stir, shake, serve.
*I forthed this recipe b/c I wanted to use it all up. But next time I will be making a jar full.

  1. I'm 100% in the "homemade dressing could beat up store-bought dressing" camp! :) This one sounds really, really good. Thanks for sharing, SB!
