Peach Crisp

In the book I shared about on my real blog, Real Love for Real Life, the author mentions something about making a peach crisp. Ever since I read that sentence, I have been stuck on making one. I used this recipe from cooks. com. It was delightful.

The peaches came from a local farmer's market.

And it was easy to dice em' up.

And layer with the delicious brown sugar and oat topping.

Of course I served it with vanilla ice cream.

Here's the recipe that I copied and pasted.
FRESH PEACH CRISP
1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. butter
2 1/2 lbs. peaches (med.)
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Combine oats, sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Add butter and mix. Cut butter into oats mixture. Arrange sliced peaches in a 10 x 6 inch baking dish. Cover with 1/2-1 cup sugar. Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over fruit. Bake the crisp uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until fruit is tender. Serve with whipped cream or topping. Can be made with other fruit.

Enjoy!

  1. I LOVE this!! For years it seems I've been looking for a good recipe for Apple Crisp. I remember as a young child eating my Grandmother's Apple Crisp and I wish now that I was able to get her recipe. I will be trying this recipe this weekend! Thanks! :D
