beans and rice, rice and beans!

Shortly after I got married, I called my mom and asked for her amazing red beans and rice recipe, a meal we had grown up eating on a regular basis. A meal we all loved!

And she gave it to me.

Are you ready?

Because it is very difficult.

You may not want to try this one.

It has a whopping 2 ingredients.

Okay, I lied. 3 ingredients. You will need about 2 tablespoons of butter to cook the RB&R in.


Cook as directed on THE BOX. How awesome is that, a GOOD meal from a box!

Add smoked sausage at the end of the cooking process, just long enough to heat thoroughly.

We eat ours with saltine crackers...mmm. Frito's are pretty darn good too.

  1. we eat that alot too but my husband adds a can of diced tomatoes and chopped onion its really yummy!

  2. Love it! I do the jambalaya with turkey sausage a lot to make it more WW friendly. I am a fan of a dinner from a box.
