They were a lovely way to kick off Easter weekend.
I did not make my own icing. I used store bought whipped vanilla. Also, I used two different kinds of sprinkles because it's what I had on hand.
What I loved about these cupcakes:
1. The recipe makes a perfect 12, which is the perfect amount for our family.
2. They are from scratch. The cake is so real tasting and not too sweet.
In the comments on the original recipe, there was quite a bit of negative feedback. But I disagree. These were a hit in my book. Be sure not to over mix once you pour the sprinkles in because the colors will mix and turn gray.
