hashbrown casserrole you can't live without

This is the recipe I make MORE THAN ANY OTHER RECIPE I HAVE, especially for group functions and dinners. It is a casserole that is loved by many. Men, women, and children alike. It goes great with barbecue, hamburgers, etc; you could even serve it for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients:
1 30 oz bag frozen shredded hashbrowns (slightly defrosted)
1 cup grated extra sharp cheddar cheese
1 heaping cup sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 stick of butter melted
1/2 medium onion diced
salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients in no specific order and place in 9X13 casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour uncovered.
