Sometimes I want a burger but done feel like firing up the grill. Cooking burgers on a griddle or skillet make for a fantastic alternative. They take on a sort of diner style and if you add pickles and onions they become everything a fast food hamburger should be but isn't.
Ingredients:
ground beef
Worcestershire sauce
salt
pepper
buns
cheese
pickles
mustard
ketchup
onion (optional, I happened to not have any this night)
Instructions:
Season ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper (or whatever you like to season your hamburgers with). Form into patties. Cook on a griddle or skillet at medium-high heat until ground beef is cooked through. A saute pan would work well, I'm sure.
Butter buns and allow to warm in the oven. I don't let them get toasted for these burgers, but rather allow them to get just warm enough for the butter to melt. Again...sticking with the diner theme.
And that's it.
I highly recommend serving them with tater tots.
Enjoy
This looks fabulous. The "buttered buns" add the perfect touch.
